whatscaughtmyeye is the blog site of director, editor, and cameraman Warren Saire.

Born in London England, Warren began a career in the film industry at the age of four and has worked on numerous productions in theatre, film and television, including the original London West End casts of Tom Stoppard’s Night and Day, Bugsy Malone, and Another Country at the Queens Theatre, which was the career launching production of then newcomers Kenneth Branagh and Rupert Everett.

Other work includes The Winslow boy, Children! Children, The Chronicles of Narnia, James Mason’s final film The Shooting Party, Ken Russell’s Salome’s Last Dance, Hugh Hudson’s Revolution for Goldcrest, The Neverending Story for Wolfgang Petersen, cult favorite The Monster Club and RSC and National theatre Director Trevor Nunn’s feature directorial debut, Lady Jane for Paramount, as well as numerous television productions.

Parallel to this Warren had been working in various aspects of film and music and theater production, including the co-founding and operation of Harewood Studios in London, a multi-track production and post production facility which became the ‘go to’ boutique recording studio of several major label and artists and co-founding Waters Edge Ltd, a broadcast production services company in the UK. And a five year stint working freelance at BBC television’s training department.

A creative artist and informed tech-head he can frequently be found in front of a machine with an apple on it….
